Social Program

The Welcome Reception will take place on the 17th of August at 6 PM. The reception is hosted jointly with the City of Espoo, which will warmly welcome IRMMW-THz conference participants. 

The Conference Dinner will take place on the 20th of August at 6:30 PM

OPTION 1

Nuuksio Reindeer Park Adventure (99,32 EUR)

  • Private Visit to Nuuksio Reindeer Park: Enjoy A private visit including reindeer feeding, campfire coffee and a cinnamon bun (1h)

Wild Foraging and Fireside Lunch (101,5 EUR)

  • Guided Berry or Wild Herb Picking: Embark on a relaxing and educational 1-2 hour walk through the forest as you forage for wild berries or herbs.

  • Fireside Lunch in a Traditional Sami Tepee* (*one menu per group): Enjoy a delicious one-course meal cooked over a fire. Choose starter or main course or dessert:

Starters: Pasta salad with strawberry, salmon-feta-red onion Flatbread, garlic-serrano ham bread with honeydew melon, or avocado bruschetta.
Main Courses: Delicious Chicken Paella with garlic bread, Meatball pan with tomatoes, Whitefish fried in butter with herb potatoes and

Nature Trek and Bonfire Pancake Academy (90,5 EUR)

  • Guided Trek in the Woods: Immerse yourself in Finland’s forests with a guided 1-2 hour trek, offering breathtaking views and insights into local nature.

  • Bonfire Pancake Academy: After your trek, gather around the bonfire and learn how to make delicious Finnish pancakes. (1-2 hours)
